How did you come to MB?

God led me to join the core team when Metrobrook was just getting started. I had never been involved with a church plant before, but I was excited about the vision that was put forth for the church. It has been a great and challenging experience.

Describe your role at MB.

I oversee the worship services as well as lead worship.

I shepherd the local missions teams as well as keep the office running smoothly.

What is the best part about your role?

I love worshipping in community. I love to lead worship; I love to see others growing in their worship leading abilities; I love to see the congregation connecting with the Lord. I love Open Mic services where we get to hear from various people how the Lord is working. I have a huge heart for hurting people in our city and so I love working with the teams who serve and make an impact right here in Milwaukee.

If you were a color, what color would you be and why?

I was going to say red, but then I saw that Jenny said Red. So now I’m afraid that everyone is going to think that I copied her. So in order to be creative and original, I’m going to say PINK.

What do you count as the greatest invention of the last 100 years? Why?

The iPod. We no longer have to carry a huge boombox on our shoulder in order to have our tunes with us. My shoulder is still sore!!

What is your favorite place on earth?

I love finding new and beautiful places. Recently my family and I went to Bond Falls, MI and it was so renewing to my spirit. I love being in the mountains of Colorado. I love the beauty of Jackson Hole, WY. But I love it when you find a new place to be in awe of.

What makes you laugh?

Most often my daughter – she has got an amazing sense of humor for a 1 year old. I love laughing with my brother too. He can get me going.

What makes you cry?

Children in foster care who grow up feeling unloved and alone. Children who live in extreme poverty and die from very curable diseases.

If you could be on any reality TV show, what would it be and why?

Extreme Home Makeover – I cannot watch that show without balling. I love to see the hope and joy in the faces of people who were formerly so desperate.
