Part of understanding our identity as a church is being in lock-step with how God views the world and the people in it. In this we see who we need to be as a congregation.
We see...
- Our church so in love with Jesus that we are no longer comfortable with the fleeting American Dream, rather we are gripped by a vision to fulfill God’s desire for the nations.
- Our congregation so palpably aware of our place in the world community of Christ-followers that it permeates our everyday conversations with one another.
- Our members so dependent upon God and responsive to His Spirit that our first impulse is to seek His direction in prayer, rather than rushing ahead with our own agenda.
- Our community so overcome by God’s passion for the peoples of the world that we both give and live sacrificially in order to communicate His love to them.
- Our people so cognizant of how the gospel completes other cultures that we approach cultural differences with respect and embrace the distinctive worship which flows from diverse peoples.
- Events so wondrous occurring in our church and around the world that they can only be attributed to God.
