Frequently Asked Questions
Whether you want to just dip in your toes to test the water, or you are ready to dive right in, we are ready when you are!
What can I expect on my first visit to Metrobrook?
We've set up a page on our Web site especially for first-time visitors to help you know what to expect in terms of worship style, parking, dress code and more.
When and where are church services?
We meet at 10:00 am on Sundays at our church on 1036 N. Van Burren. See our Location & Directions page for driving directions and a map.
How long do Sunday services last?
Church services begin at 10:00 and usually run a little over an hour in length.
What should I wear to church?
Come as you are! You'll feel comfortable in jeans or business casual wear. We’re more interested with meeting your real life needs than with what you wear.
Where can I park?
Metrobrook doesn’t have a parking lot, but street parking is free on Sundays. Also the Jewish Family Center north of the church on VanBuren and next to Buca’s graciously allows us to park there. Please do not park in the lot right next to the church or in the Mykonos lot.
Does Metrobrook offer child care during it's service?
Metrobrook Church holds 3 Sunday school classes during it's service for the following ages: 0-3 years, 4 years old through 1st grade and 2nd though 5th grade.
Because the care of your child is very important to us, we have at least 2 teachers for every class. We also offer a convenient and secure check-in system and we conduct interviews and background checks on our teachers to ensure your children are in good hands.
If your child has special needs, please contact the church office so that we can provide for them as necessary.
What can you tell me about Metrobrook Church?
Metrobrook church started in September 2005 as a group of Christians who felt that God has a special place in His heart for the people in the city of Milwaukee. We found that we all shared some of the same beliefs, mission and vision and felt that God was calling us to form a church in the city center.
Although there's much more to tell, any member of our staff would love to meet with you to hear your story and give you more details of ours!
If I attend Metrobrook church, do I need to give in the weekly offering?
Giving money is not required to attend Metrobrook Church, it is purely on a voluntary basis. Metrobrook is able to make an impact in our community for God because of the generous support it receives from giving.
To make it more convenient for those who wish to give, we've set up automated giving. You may download a brochure that provides a detailed explanation on how to set-up automated giving with your bank.
How can I get to know Christ better?
At Metrobrook, we believe there's not one simple way to learn all there is about Christ. Getting to know Christ better is much like any relationship which involves an investment of your time and energy through personal time with God, corporate worship, prayer, reading the bible and getting involved with other people in a small group like DNA groups.
If you'd like to learn more about what's involved in getting to know Christ better, feel free to contact us any time to meet with a pastor.
What opportunities are there to get more involved at Metrobrook Church?
There are many ways to get involved at Metrobrook Church. Whether you like working with children, music or getting involved in the community, there's something for everyone that is both rewarding and will help you grow closer to God. If you're not sure how to get involved, we'd love to meet with you to help you find a place that is right for you.
How can I get deeper in my faith?
Besides meeting with God in a regular personal devotional time, we feel one of the best ways to grow in your faith is to meet with others who will both challenge and support you in your faith journey. Metrobrook offers DNA Groups, a group of 2-3 people who you meet with on a regular basis so that you can grow in Christ.
If you're interested in learning more, please contact us and we'd be happy to help you grow a deeper, more meaningful relationship with God.
Does Metrobrook offer training to help me grow?
Metrobrook is pleased to offer many training courses on a periodic basis that are geared to help you grow various aspects of your faith. These include Talk-With-Your-Mouth-Full-Dinners, First-Connect and Fusion. Contact us to find out when our next training event will take place.
Can I meet with a pastor?
Whether you'd just like to introduce yourself or have a listening ear on a personal struggle, someone from our pastoral staff would be happy to meet with you. Simply use the Contact Us page on this web site, or call the Metrobrook Church office at 414.273.1163 to set up a personal appointment with a pastor.
