God is using the Metrobrook community to help me encounter His grace and truth. At Metrobrook I have found others who are willing to risk being known, ask the hard questions about God, life and relationships, and journey together in our desire to know God.

Our Story

Metrobrook is a “daughter” of Elmbrook Church in Brookfield, Wisconsin. We were publicly launched on September 2005. But the vision for Metrobrook was actually birthed years before through prayer and relationships with men and women who were interested in Jesus but not the church. Eventually a small community of Jesus’ followers began to ask the question, “What would a church look like that connected the Christian faith with real life in the city-center of Milwaukee?”

Blessings and Trials

Over the past four years we have been blessed to witness God transform individuals and families. Our pastoral staff and leadership team has increased. We have seen the scope of the local ministry increase to include the planting of our own daughter church in the Bay View neighborhood in 2008. In addition, we have recently begun strategic global partnerships in India and Bulgaria.

While the first few years at Metrobrook have been filled with exciting ministry opportunities, we have also had our struggles and disappointments. Like all faith journeys they are part of our story as well. We pray they continue to humble and refine us as a community of Jesus followers.

Not Our Story

Ultimately this story is not about us. It’s about God and His desire to renew Milwaukee and the world through a movement of the Gospel. We invite you to help write the next chapters in our story!
